May 11, 2001 (Acworth, GA) - QuikLink Interactive Inc. and Far Future Enterprises today announced the pending publication of D20 Traveller, a melding of the far flung Traveller universe and the D20 game rules system.
The Traveller science-fiction role-playing game system originated in 1977 and is generally considered the first successful science-fiction role-playing game system. Its designer was inducted into the Adventure Gaming Hall of Fame in 1981 primarily in recognition of his work on Traveller, and Traveller itself was enshrined in the Hall of Fame in 1997 after 20 years of publication.
D20 Traveller merges the popular D20 role-playing game system with the wealth of background and information from the Traveller universe. Upon release, D20 Traveller players and game masters will instantly have a library of campaign material and adventures available to them as D20 Traveller requires little conversion to use any previously published Traveller material.
"After prolonged discussions with Marc Miller, we have arranged for D20 Traveller to be set in Traveller's Millennium era, the period just before and just after the massive Solomani Rim War between Earth and the Imperium." comments Hunter Gordon of QuikLink. "This is an exciting era that just begs to be explored."
