Poorly led, the platoon sized Bratom Solutions, some 35 personnel under “Major” Trilbon, has nevertheless through luck managed to develop a good reputation for what it does – providing security for individuals and facilities. It has reasonably experienced personnel who form a tight-knit group with good camaraderie and is usually equipped at TL13 or the current world’s tech level +1. The company owns three unmarked, all-black mini-vans and one very elderly army surplus wheeled TL12 ATV.
Trilbon’s strategic foresight is underwhelming to say the least and his organizational discipline leaves a lot to be desired. However, as well as being capable tactically, what the commander is good at is employing individuals who are highly skilled and unparalleled in tenacity. Bratom’s success can be attributed to the innate talent and resourcefulness of its employees and their ability to work well together despite rather than because of Trilbon’s leadership.
There also seems to be an element of luck to some of their operations which has stood them in good stead although it is not obvious why some events play out in their favour in quite the way they do. Trilbon and Kaldehar work hard to keep it that way. Having said that, there are whispers in the ranks that Bratom’s effectiveness could be greatly enhanced with a change in leadership and better strategic oversight. A new appointee, Captain Natalie Sansammer who comes with an impeccable military record, might be the obvious candidate. No one in Bratom knows that until a year ago she was known as Nate Yerrin.
