Perl Galactic

Perl interface to data files from Galactic 2.4 plus a Perl/Tk user interface to display and edit the data. Some features of Galactic not yet implemented, but this should be usable for most purposes. You must have Perl and Perl/Tk installed. If you want the data included with Galactic, you will have to install that as well.

Includes tables for a fair number of languages, including tables that will generate words that 'look Dutch' or 'look Maori' or 'look' like they're from Terrestrial languages. Can be customized for additional languages.

Hexographer

Hexographer is a map-making software program that allows users to create hex-style maps. These maps are popular for wilderness maps of role-playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons. However, they are useful for many other role-playing games, miniatures and wargames. Icons and hexes for creating star maps are built-in. Hexographer comes in Free and Pro versions.

Free Trader

In Free Trader you take on the role of the captain of a trading starship, travelling from system to system, you must try to accumulate as much wealth as possible before your merchant contract expires.
You can customize your starship and improve your trade-related skills in order to maximize your profits.
The trading area is a randomly-generated subsector so the game is different each time you play.
The program uses mechanics from CT and MT, and has been authorized for release by kind permission of Marc Miller.

The Missouri Archive Software Collection

Many years ago, Joe Heck maintained Traveller information and software at a site hosted by the University of Missouri. The site is no longer actively maintained, but Joe has extracted the software from it, including source code where available, and posted it to GitHub for download (and community code updates).
