 Stargrunt II: Supersheridan/Zelda-equipped Platoons

The Supersheridan/Zelda family of AFVs was intended as a coherent family of small, relatively low-tech vehicles for colonial or mercenary use - cheap and easy to maintain in low-tech conditions. The design was limited by the following constraints:

  1. All vehicles to be Size 2 (LIGHT), with FAST TRACK mobility and CFE engines.
  2. No massdrivers or energy weapons.
  3. Maximum system quality of ENHANCED.

Supersheridan/Zelda-equipped Mech Platoon (TL9)

The basic "two-by-four" platoon of the Supersheridan/Zelda family; a four-APC platoon with an attached section of two light tanks for heavy-weapon and anti-armor fire support.

4 Zelda light APCs + 2 Supersheridan-M light tanks

Dismounted Infantry

Mobility D6 (normal foot)
Armour D6 (partial armor - TL9 flak vests)
Sensors D6 (Basic)
Quality Any

3 Squads (8 men + 2 APC crew)

ATRLs are issued as rounds of ammunition, usually 4-6/squad

Platoon Command Section (8 men - Lieutenant, Platoon Sergeant, 2 specialists, 2 GMS/L teams + 2 APC crew)

4 Zelda APCs

2 Supersheridan-M Light Tanks

MOBILITY TYPE: Fast Tracked
SIZE CLASS: 2 (Small - D10)
ARMOUR: 2 (front 2, side 1)
WEAPONRY: Gun turret + VLS missile array, both w 360° fire arc:
RFAC/2 (ENHANCED (D8) FireCon, Base IMPACT 2xD10)
Coaxial HMG (FIREPOWER D8, IMPACT D12)
GMS/H (ENHANCED Guidance (D8), IMPACT 4xD12)
CREW: 4 (driver, commander, gunner, missile gunner)
TROOP SPACES: None
EQUIPMENT: BASIC ECM (D6)

Alternate "German-style" TO&E (TL9)

This is an alternate platoon, based on the German practice of mounting heavy support weapons in the Platoon HQ vehicle. The only anti-armor capability of this platoon is in the ATRL's carried by the dismounts.
